I Have A Love/Hate Relationship...

With my elliptical machine.  Ok, really?  It's mostly hate.  It is hard to do.  I feel like my lungs are going to burst out of my chest.  It is uncomfortable.  My legs are either in dire pain or my feet are going numb.  Afterward I look like hell.  My skin is super flushed, my hair is disheveled, depending on the temperature of my garage I may have sweat soaked into every inch of the clothing I am wearing.

So where is the love?  Well, for some reason it is THE ONLY exercise that I can push myself to go harder/faster/longer and I actually keep doing it.  If I were to go outside for a walk and try to move faster the second my legs started to burn or my breathing got too hard I would slow down.  Whenever I do any sort of cardio workout dvd, I feel like there is no way I can go on.  But I can with the elliptical.  I also love that it kinda makes me feel like I am jogging, but without the jolting and destroying of my joints and the flopping of fat rolls.  (Mostly I like the non-flopping of fat.)  I also like that once I get back in the routine of using it, it is easy to see how quickly I progress by being able to move up the resistance or go longer.

I still hate it more than I love it.
